City Harvest Blog. Read about SWQV Garden's participation in the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's City Harvest Program. which helps fight hunger in Philadelphia. In the 2010 growing season our garden donated over 1,270 lbs of fresh produce to Riverview, a public housing high rise for seniors located across the street from the garden.
Bee Blog SWQV has an extensive and well-connected beekeeping program -- five beekeepers and three hives with plans for two additional hives soon. Honey sales helps support the garden and during the growning season the bees constantly pollinate the garden as well.
