2003: Gardener Irene Scarborough & friends

April 2003: Notice the old wooden fence, which will be replaced during the summer of this year. It had originally been built by Howard Silver Construction, Inc. with both a truck gate and people gate along the Christian Street frontage. Climbing roses and iris were planted inside the fence. The project was made possible by financial contributions from the gardeners, Mellon Bank, Core States Bank, the QVNA recycling fund, the Urban Gardening Program and Philadelphia Green.
